Improved Yields

How it Pays: It's the Increase in Yields!

Both research and farmers confirm significant increases in yield and bottom line profits when using Tillage Radish®.

Studies by Dr. Ray Weil of University of Maryland confirm that corn yields increase by 10% (12 bu/acre advantage) and soybean yields increase by 11% (8 bu/acre) in heavily compacted soil using Tillage Radish compared to no cover crop as the prior year crop[1]. Additional research shows that mixing 2 lbs of Tillage Radish seed with winter wheat seeding can result in a 5-12 bu/acre yield increase.

Successful farmers are also confirming these tangible benefits using Tillage Radish as a cover crop. Dan Magness of White Hall, MD got a 41 bu/acre increase in yields versus not using a cover crop, and a 28 bu/acre increase over using a barley cover crop!
